Acute Cor Pulmonale - Film n°26

TEE in a patient on controlled ventilation for ARDS caused by extensive lung disease. The examination was done at a PEEP of 5 cmH₂O with a plateau pressure of 27 cmH₂O. There was mild systolic overload of the RV. Systolic blood pressure was 135 mmHg, heart rate 100 bpm and systolic index of the RV 23 ml/m² (Doppler measurement in the pulmonary artery).
